Ultrasound!
This morning we had the wonderful experience of seeing our baby for the first time! We had our first ultrasound appointment, and I have to say, it was quite miraculous to see! For 12 weeks I have “known” that there was a little human growing inside me, but the only evidence I could see was that my clothes were starting to get too tight, and I was fairly sick for a couple of months. To me, it seemed more like something was wrong with me, not that there was a miracle happening within my body. At this appointment my fears were relieved, and we got our first glimpse at our new baby. During the ultrasound appointment we got to see the baby stretch, run its hand over its head, raise up its arm as if it had a question, roll over and put its back to us, and just move around in general. The technician said that everything looked good, the heart rate was at a good level, and the baby was growing, and had gotten to a good size. She even moved up my due date to Aug 4 instead of Aug 9. So now there is less of a chance that I will be in the hospital on our first anniversary (Aug 13), which I consider a very good thing. I have scanned in the ultrasounds to the gallery page so check those out! We couldn’t tell if the baby is a boy or a girl yet, as its umbilical cord was right between its legs. We are planning on finding out beforehand, if the baby cooperates. 
I will update more as the pregnancy progresses, and maybe someday before the baby is born, we will get caught up with all the photos I keep saying I’m going to upload!
