Registering extraveganza!
Yesterday Mike and I went off to Babies “R” Us to register for our little one. Man I never knew something so small could need so much stuff!! We were there for probably 4 hours or more, and let me tell you, it was crazy! We’re still not done! There are so many more things we need to add to the registry. I also came to realize that there just isn’t anything out there in primary colors for infants for room decor. I was set on having white furniture with primary colored accents, and well, that’s just not going to happen. So we get to actually pick a bedding set that’s pre-made, because I just don’t think I’ll have the time to do anything myself in the sewing world. I have 2 blankets started for the little one, and I’ll be lucky if I get those finished! If you’re looking for the registry, you can find it at Babiesrus.com and it is listed under both Mike and myself. If you can’t find it that way, you can search by registry number 97003273.
In between all the registry fun, we did have a bit of excitement, but not so much in a good way- We took Boo our bunny and Spats, our oldest cat to the vet yesterday for check-ups. Spats was overdue for a regular exam, and I had found a small bump on Boo’s tummy a few days before that I wanted to get checked out. Well, it’s a good thing I did- she had to have a lumpectomy yesterday to remove a rather large mass from her upper tummy. We had it sent to the lab for testing to see what it actually was- we’re hoping nothing serious. But now she’s confined to a small cage, and we have to keep an eye on her and the incision for the next week to make sure everything is okay. Poor bunny!
So that’s basically what’s going on in our world- Oh, and I’ve started a little eBay business selling the stuff I crochet! It’s called Mayzaboo-tique. I’m trying to get into some custom order stuff right now, too, but I haven’t gotten the listings up yet. My thought is to gear up for Christmas, and get some blankets and things like that done. We shall see how it goes!
