Heavier than birth!
Jordan now weighs more than she did at birth! Yippee! As of yesterday she was 6 lbs, 12 oz- 6 oz up from her birthweight! Yeah for Jordan! I’ve now been to the breastfeeding clinic 3 times, and it has proven to be so helpful! We are on yet another new feeding plan to try to combat a problem with hyperlactation. Jordan is getting too much of the milk in the beginning, which is giving her gas, and not letting her get to the hindmilk that comes after she’s been feeding for a while. So now we’re feeding as much as every hour from 6-12, then “on demand” from 12-5, and as much as possible again from 5-10, then on demand at night. This will hopefully get her to realize the difference between night and day, and cause her less discomfort, and also allow for a nice afternoon nap- for both of us!
My mom comes to visit again next week- she’s arriving on Monday and staying for the week. Should be fun! Mike starts work again next week, too, so it will be nice to have some extra help if I need it! Jordan has a doctor’s appointment on Monday, and I go back to the clinic on Tuesday. Busy week for baby and me!
