I took a bunch of pictures of Jordan yesterday- she was just being super cute! They’re all up in the gallery, but here are a few highlights!

Jordan does this new thing where she smooshes up her face and scrunches up her nose and breathes in and out really fast through her nose. She’ll do it to you if you do it to her, so here are my attempts at capturing it on film! I call it her “Smoosh Face”.

She also has some strange obsession with sucking on washcloths. Weird, I know, but here she is in the tub:

I now am sure that Jordan is cutting her first 2 teeth! And yes, they are the top two front teeth! I guess no one told Jordan that she’s supposed to cut the bottom ones first. So last night was rough for us. She was awake 5 times in the night, most of the time just a little fussy, needing extra snuggles and cuddles, but twice she was inconsolable, so I had to put the numbing gel on her gums, and I gave her some Tylenol to help with the swelling. I can see the teeth in her gum, but they haven’t broken through yet. She’s drooling like mad today, and I fear we may have another upset night tonight. I just hope they break through soon and stop hurting her. She was fussy on and off today, but better during the day since she had other things to occupy her mind. Once they do break through, I will attempt to get a photo of them… though the only way I can see her top gum is to flip her upside-down and hope she opens her mouth. Not sure how I could get a photo while doing that…
I can’t remember if I mentioned this before or not, but she has taken 4-5 side-steps at a time while holding on to furniture! She’s not totally cruising yet, but she’s thinking about it! She also can balance for a few seconds on her own standing up, but then she starts to lose her balance, and sits down. And yesterday she started clasping her hands together. Not clapping yet, but getting closer! She’s learning so much, it’s crazy. For the first time tonight, she actually turned the pages of the book we were reading, instead of thrusting it into her mouth. Amazing! Well, Dancing with the Stars is on- I must go!

Sorry for the boring title, but I’m tired, and couldn’t think of a snappy one.
The past few days have been quite busy here! I’ve been working on more organizing- now I’m in to the fun stuff. The past two days I’ve been going through all the scrapbook stuff and getting it all labeled and put in its new place. I have managed to get every negative I own into negative sleeves, labeled, and put into binders (Thanks, Mom!!), and of course, the binders are labeled, too! I also have every photo album that has the pictures that are waiting to be scrapbooked labeled, so I can keep them in order and find them easier. Now I just have to organize the box of pictures that don’t fit in the albums, and I’ll be golden! I’ve also gotten all the paper organized in my closet in paper stackers(Again, Thanks, Mom!). And my stickers are well on their way to being organized an easily accessible (Once again, Thank you, Mom!).
In Jordan news, it looks like she may be cutting her first teeth soon, but instead of cutting the bottom ones first, it looks like the top ones will come in first! Nothing’s broken through yet, but I see more “action” up top than in the bottom gums. We also seem to finally have gotten into a sleeping schedule that Jordan likes! She’s been taking 2 naps a day, and sleeping almost all the way through the night. Most nights she just wakes up 1 time to eat, and that’s it! In fact yesterday she had TWO 2-hour naps, then we went out to dinner with our friend Lisa, Jordan fell asleep in the car on the way back from 7:30-8ish, I put her down at 8, she woke once at 11:30 to eat, then I heard nothing until 8am!! I went in at 7:45 just to make sure she was okay and this is what I found. And yes, she is asleep.

She took a 1 hour, 45 min nap this morning before Gymboree, and then only a 45 min one this afternoon, but she went down tonight at 7pm, and so far, so good!
On Wednesday this past week we went down to San Diego to visit with “Lola” (Mike’s Mom) who had just had surgery. We had a fun time at Aunt Aida’s house, and I got to try some Filipino food! Verdict? I really like Chicken Adobo. We also got to meet Sony’s wife Lei, and their 3 month old son Zion. Here are some pics:

This afternoon we went to a concert at the House of Blues at Downtown Disney- the group was called The Sippy Cups, and they are a children’s rock group. It was pretty fun, and Jordan had a great time! We got some free tickets at Gymboree, and figured why not? They handed out tambourines and maracas at the door, and they had roaming clowns that were making balloon animals/hats. Jordan was fairly wide-eyed at first, but once the concert got rolling, she started smiling a whole bunch, eating her tambourine, and shaking it occasionally. I wish I had video taped the whole thing, but they don’t allow taping in the concert area. Jordan’s face, though was priceless. She was up on Daddy’s shoulders for a bit, and really liked that.

After the concert we wandered Downtown Disney for a bit, but decided to hit Fazoli’s for dinner, then Jordan went to bed with no fussing! We read books for a bit, and I fed her, then put her in her crib with some toys and her new favorite blanket. She was standing at the side of the crib when I left the room, and I haven’t heard a peep! She’s getting a lot better at playing herself to sleep these days, so that is a blessing! She’s still waking up multiple times a night, but her “nighttime” is lasting longer. She’ll wake up to snuggle or eat, but she doesn’t want to play. If we can just get her to eat a bigger dinner of solids, I bet she’d last longer at night.
Earlier today Mike and I cleaned out part of the garage, and Mike made a “Goodwill run”. I managed to get rid of 4 boxes worth of stuff I thought I needed to keep, and Mike got rid of a few too! Now my boxes in the garage are either toys that are not yet age appropriate for Jordan, or knick-knacks/keepsakes that we don’t have room for, but I hope that someday we will, and I’m not willing to part with them yet. There are also a few boxes of books that will go on our big bookshelf for the livingroom, if we ever get one… and the other books are kids books for Jordan to read eventually. But at least I now know what is in all those boxes, and they are labeled!! Whee!! So the end is in sight. If I can just get all my scrapbooking stuff organized to where I can sit down and work on a page, it’ll be a miracle!

Jordan’s first Easter was quite a success! We went to church this morning (where that picture was taken), then came home and “opened” our Easter baskets:

Jordan seemed to really enjoy herself, and loved playing with all her new toys. She even surprised me today by taking a 3 hour nap this afternoon! I couldn’t hardly believe it. Mike and I were both able to take naps today while she napped, and I still got some stuff done around the house/computer. Speaking of getting stuff done on the computer, new pictures are up! There are a few in the Eighth Month album, and then the Ninth Month album is all new! She’s so much fun to photograph, but it’s getting more difficult since she’s crawling so much! I’m too tired tonight to write more, so I leave you with picture fun!

Yesterday was the Easter Party here in our housing community. It was short, but pretty fun. There was a mini Easter Egg Hunt for the toddlers which they let Jordan participate in, and then we also were entered into the raffle for the Easter baskets/toys. Jordan won!! So we went home with a Mr. Potato Head toy that she will really like once she’s old enough to really play with it! Since Jordan was the first winner, we got to pick which one she wanted- the other 2 prizes were Easter baskets with candy and bigger kid toys. But we couldn’t believe it! The youngest kid there wins the biggest prize! Pretty funny. It looks like Mike wasn’t there because he was behind the camera, but we all had a good time.
I finally got the recent pictures uploaded to the gallery, including the pics from yesterday’s party! There are some in the 2007 album, and some in the 7th month of Jordan’s pics, as well as the whole 8th month!
