We have been quite busy the past couple of days with parties! We had 2 yesterday and one the day before! Whew! On Saturday I worked my regular shift, and then we had our Pumpkin Patch Party at Gymboree, and I worked that as well. Jordan and Mike were able to come, and it was fun, though a bit on the crazy side. Not sure what I think about parties there. The attendees seemed to have a lot of fun, though I was a bit frazzled, being on the other side, and I didn’t get to enjoy Jordan much, since I was the “photographer” as well as working the back room. I got 2 pictures of Jordan the whole time. :S But here they are!

Then yesterday after Jordan decided once again to not sleep Saturday night after I worked all day, we had 2 more parties to attend. First was a birthday party for one of Mike’s friends. We didn’t get any pictures there, but we did manage to stay long enough to enjoy some yummy Chinese food, and meet Mike’s buddies, and show off Jordan, of course.
Last night was Randy’s 4th Annual Pumpkin Carving Night, which was quite fun! We met up with the gang, though a bit late, at the pumpkin patch. Jordan greatly enjoyed meeting the animals in the petting zoo. She pet quite a few sheep, a pony, and met a turtle, 2 bunnies, a bunch of chicks, a hen, and quite a few turkeys!

She wandered around the pumpkin patch, though she didn’t choose her pumpkin, since she was way more into chasing the turkeys around. But we snapped some cute pictures, and managed to get quite a bit of video. Here is the family with the pumpkins we chose:

And here’s a cute one of Jordan with our pumpkins. Yes, that is her pumpkin, and no we did not try to carve it!

After the fun at the patch, we headed over to Randy’s for the carving extravaganza!

There will be more photos when I get the ones from the other people who took pictures. My camera didn’t take very good pictures without the flash, and with the flash it was hard to see all the designs.
This week we have 1 more party- on Halloween we are heading to Disneyland for Mickey’s Halloween Treat! That should be a lot of fun!

This post will be a quick one. I just wanted to record Jordan’s new words and signs:
Words: Ball, Doll, Bra (Don’t ask), Jordan (Joh-doh), Moe (from the Doodlebops, and she doesn’t even watch it very often), Jo-Jo (more like “Doh-Doh”, again from Playhouse Disney “Feelin’ Good with Jo-Jo”) Boo (and she recognizes it in books spelled out.)

Sounds: “BAA” for a sheep

Signs: Mouse, Car(her own sign), Please (but she doesn’t know how to use it yet)

Recognize the shirt she’s wearing? She actually wore it last year, and I thought it would never fit her this year! (It’s size 6-9 months, and it’s a bit tight this year, but still wearable!)

Jordan today was sitting up on the couch, and pointed to the container of puffs as if to ask if she could have some, so I said, “Sure, you can have some puffs!” So she picks up the container off the table, pops the lid off, and starts munching! Surprisingly enough, none spilled, and when she was done, she snapped the lid back on, and handed me the container. And there were still puffs inside! What a big girl she’s getting to be!!

This is her “mmm” face. And yes, she was saying “Mmm” at the time.

Mike and I attended my 10 year reunion while in Cupertino. We only took 2 pictures while we were there. Only one of my close friends was there, but there were a lot of people that I remembered. It was quite surreal wandering around and seeing all the people from high school. Tobias was the only person from my “group” that was there. I would have loved to have seen everyone else, but I guess we were the only 2 from that crew. So here are the 2 pictures we actually took, and one of us before we left.

I am finally getting the pictures up on the site from the past few weeks. So far we only have the aquarium ones up, but I’m working on it, I promise! So while you wait for the rest of them, here are highlights from the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach:

“Hi Fish!”

Hello there! It has been a while since I’ve updated. We took a trip up north to my parent’s house for a weekend. My brother and his family were visiting at the same time, and it was the weekend of my 10 year High School Reunion. Then my brother and family followed us back down here and stayed for a few days, and we took a trip to Disneyland. I got sick, and I’m still sick, unfortunately. I can’t seem to get the amount of rest one needs to get better when I’m working, trying to keep up with at least SOME of the housework, and taking care of Jordan. She got an ear infection right before we left to go up north, but before that we took a trip to the Aquarium of the Pacific, and then Jordan and I went to Disneyland with Tyler and Lori from Gymboree. It was a very packed couple of weeks.
In Jordan news, she now has quite a vocabulary, in both words and signs.

And that’s all I can think of at the moment. There might be more, but I’m not sure. I’m going to try to work on the “polite” signs now (Please and Thank you), but those are tough to grasp. She seems to have more personality every day emerging. She is starting to show signs of being ready to introduce the potty, and I’ve gotten a potty seat for the big toilet that she has sat on a few times clothed, and once without clothes, but she hasn’t used it yet. I haven’t gotten my book yet on how to introduce it, so we’re just taking it very very slow- especially since she’s so young, and small. But she wakes up dry from almost every nap, and has awakened in the morning dry a few times. She’s very interested in following me into the bathroom, and wants to flush the toilet for me, and she tells me when she’s soiling her diaper, and then takes my hand and takes me either into the bathroom, or to her changing table. So the fun begins!
Anyway, that’s about it from here. I have tons of pictures from the Aquarium, Disneyland with Tyler, the trip up north, my brother’s trip down here, etc, so that will take a while. I’ve also been trying to organize the pictures on the gallery site so they make more sense.

Cow-”BMOO” (with her mouth closed- hard to describe)
Snake- “SSSSSS” She also does this for necklaces.
